The questions people ask before they buy.
How does the Knee Pro actually work?
Two things at once. Heat warms the joint and the tissue around it — that is the part you feel in the first minute. Then EMS pulses work the muscles that hold the knee steady, which is the tapping sensation underneath the warmth. Three modes, ten levels.
Strap both wraps on, press start, and it shuts itself off after twenty minutes. Your hands stay free the whole time, and there is no motor in it, so there is nothing to hear.
What kind of knee pain is it for?
Everyday soreness and stiffness. The first few steps in the morning, standing up after a long drive or an hour in a chair, the ache at the end of a day on your feet.
It is not a medical device and it is not designed to treat an injury or a diagnosed condition. If someone is already managing your knee, ask them before you start.
How long before I notice anything?
The heat you will feel on the first night. That part is immediate.
The rest takes longer. Most people describe a difference somewhere in the second or third week, not the first. That is exactly why the trial runs thirty nights and not a fortnight — use it every evening and judge it at the end, not after three goes.
What if it does not work for me?
Use it every evening for a month. If your knees do not feel better at the end of the day than they do right now, email us and we will refund you.
Keep using it for the whole thirty nights. We do not need it back unopened, there is no return depot, and there are no forms to fill in.
Can I use it on both knees?
Both at the same time. That is how it is built — a set is two wraps, one for each leg, and they run the same twenty-minute session together.
They adjust with velcro and fit knees between 30 cm and 48 cm around. Most people tell us the knee they were not worried about turns out not to be as good as they thought.
How does it compare to a TENS machine or a heat pack?
A heat pack warms the skin, goes cold in about ten minutes, and you have to sit still holding it in place. A TENS machine sends a pulse that masks the pain signal — it does not ask the muscle to do anything.
The Knee Pro does both jobs at once, and does them hands free: heat into the joint, pulses to the muscles around it, both legs, twenty minutes, then it turns itself off.
How fast does it ship?
Free tracked shipping anywhere in Australia, normally three to seven days. Our head office is in Melbourne.
You get a tracking number as soon as it is on its way, and there is nothing to pay for delivery no matter where you are.
Do I need to charge it?
Yes, over USB-C. A full charge gives around four to five hours of use, so at twenty minutes a night most people charge it once every week or two. Both wraps charge together.
Who should not use it?
Do not use the Knee Pro if you have a pacemaker, an implanted defibrillator or any other implanted electronic device. EMS sends an electrical current through the body and it can interfere with how those devices work. The same applies if you are pregnant, or if you have epilepsy, a diagnosed heart rhythm condition, or a known blood clot in the leg.
Do not place the pads over broken skin, a rash, or any area where you have lost feeling and cannot properly sense the pulse. If you have diabetes with nerve damage in the legs, speak to your GP before your first session.
And as above — not over a knee replacement, pin, plate or any other surgical hardware.
